The first private mineralogy museum was founded in Sludyanka on the 2nd of May in 1990. The idea was to make a tourist complex what includes farmstead of Valery Alekseevich Dzigalov and museum “Semi-precious stone” itself. Complex was build during 5 years. And now everybody why likes minerals can visit the exhibition of more then 10000 exponents which has been collected since 1975 by Valery Alekseevich from all over the former USSR and others countries. But the main part of the collection contains, of course, the minerals from the unique Sludyanka layer.
